Unfinished Projects no.1

Lately I've been thinking about all the sewing stuff I have in the closet. mostly fabrics. I really enjoy sewing, but feeling busy with other things, it's hard to make the time to just sit and sew. Unfortunately now I have a few sewing projects that have been started but never completed. So in order to alleviate  the unfinished projects and clear my mind, I've decided to work on an unfinished sewing project every Monday until they're all completed. I will not start a new project until the "unfinished's" are completed. I'm not sure that this is the best way to deal with this or not, but at least it's a start. Hopefully, after the projects are finished, I'll have a better idea of what fabrics I want to keep and what I can give up.
The first project completed today is a headband. The pieces were already cut and edges sewn. It took all of an hour to finish because I messed up and had to take it apart and re-sew. The results are great and I love it. More than anything it feels good to finally complete this project. Do you have any incomplete projects? How do you tackle them?

  1. What a cute project! Love the fabric!
I too, have way too many projects going at all times. I think creative minds need variety :)
I tend to tackle mine the same way you do--- dig in and work through my projects one at a time. There is a wonderful sense of accomplishment that comes from finishing projects...love that!
